Alejandra Bronfman is Professor in the Department of Africana, Latin American, Caribbean and Latinx Studies at the University at Albany, SUNY. A cultural historian of the Caribbean, she is the author of Measures of Equality (2004) and Isles of Noise (2016). Her current research interests include media infrastructures, the production of knowledge, and haunted political imaginaries.
