Catherine L. Benamou is Professor of Film and Media Studies and Chicano-Latino Studies at the University of California-Irvine. She is the author of Transnational Television and Latinx Diasporic Audiences: Abrazos Electrónicos in Four Global Cities (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2022) and numerous essays on Orson Welles, documentary, and Latin American women’s cinema. She is at work on a book, Latinx Media and the Pursuit of Social Justice: A Transmedial Approach.
