Christine Hernández

Christine Hernández serves as Curator for Special Collections at The Doris Z. Stone Latin American Library and Research Center at Tulane University, where she oversees processing, preservation, and access to special collections, provides reference, and advances collection development and digitization. She holds an A.B. in Spanish and Anthropology from the University of Illinois, an M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology from Tulane University, and is a certified archivist. Her scholarly expertise is Mesoamerican archaeology with a focus on highland central and west Mexico prehistory, ceramics, and Mexican and Mayan painted texts and iconography. She has taught and continues to publish widely on these subjects.
