Jack Devry Riordan is a PhD candidate in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on Latin American film, with a specialization in Cuban cinema, independent filmmaking, and digital preservation. He has published in journals such as TRANSMODERNITY, Chasqui, and more, and is a Mellon Fellow working on the digital humanities tool AVAnnotate.
