Moira Fradinger

Moira Fradinger is Professor of Comparative Literature at Yale University. Originally trained as a clinical psychologist in Argentina, she later pursued an MA in Women and Development in the Netherlands and a PhD at Yale. Her research spans Latin American literature and film, classical reception, psychoanalysis, gender studies, and political thought. She is the author of Binding Violence (2010) and Antígonas: Writing from Latin America (2023), winner of the 2024 René Wellek Award. Her forthcoming work includes Latin American AntígonaS, a translation anthology. She has received multiple teaching awards and held fellowships in Berlin, including at the American Academy and Freie Universität.
