Sarah Brokenborough

Sarah Brokenborough is a second-year PhD student in the joint Art History and Latin American Studies program at Tulane University. Her interdisciplinary research explores how visual and material culture engages with the histories and legacies of the African Diaspora in the Americas, with particular attention to the role of media in shaping diasporic identities and memory. She holds an M.A. in the History of Art from The Courtauld Institute of Art, an M.A. in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University, and a B.A. in Comparative Women’s Studies from Spelman College.
