Willamys Melo
Willamys Melo is a Brazilian researcher with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL), a Master’s degree in Psychology from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (PPGP/UFSC), and is currently a PhD student in Psychology at the same institution. He is a member of the Research Center on Social Practices, Aesthetics, and Politics (NUPRA/UFSC), and part of the Working Group “Psychology and Ethnic-Racial Relations” of the National Association for Research and Graduate Studies in Psychology (ANPEPP). In 2023, he coordinated the Working Group titled “Whiteness and Racial Relations in Brazil: Whiteness as a Problem of Study” at the National Meeting of the Brazilian Association of Social Psychology. His research is situated in the field of Social Psychology, with a focus on white supremacy, ethnic-racial relations, whiteness, and critical race theory.
