Hortensia Calvo is the Doris Stone Librarian and Director of the Doris Stone Latin American Library and Research Center and Research Professor at the Stone Center for Latin American Studies. She holds a Licenciatura in Philosophy from Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá) and a PhD in Spanish from Yale. She has published on the Spanish American literary Baroque, and the social history of print and is the co-author of Cartas de Lysi: La mecenas de Sor Juana en correspondencia inédita (Vervuert-Iberoamericana, 2015; 2023). At Tulane, she oversees administrative functions, collections, programs and services of the Doris Stone LAL Research Center.
