Hong Ahryeong is a graduate student in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Tulane University. She holds an M.A. in Hispanic Cultural Studies from Kyung Hee University (South Korea), where she focused on contemporary queer cinema in Argentina, and worked as a film festival programmer in Korea. Her research examines contemporary Hispanic literature and cinema in relation to gender, diaspora, and Transpacific studies.
