Carlos Gerardo González Orellana is a doctoral student in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Tulane University. He previoously worked as a professor of literature at Rafael Landívar University, where he also coordinated the Master programs in Latin American Literature and Philosophy and the academic journal Cultura de Guatemala. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Rafael Landívar University (URL), a Bachelor’s in Literature from the University of San Carlos, a Master in Philosophy from (URL), and a Master in Spanish and Portuguese from Tulane University. He has published several poetry books and academic articles.
