Maria C Cumana

Maria C Cumana is a Ph.D. student in Latin American Studies at Tulane University’s Stone Center. She holds a Master’s in Art History and has taught Cinema and Art History at the University of Havana and Miami Dade College. Cumana is co-author of several books, including The Cinema of Sara Gómez: Reframing Revolution, Latitudes of the Margin, Habáname: Carlos Varela’s Musical City, My Havana, and A Look at Cuban Cinema. Her research has appeared in Cuba in a Global Context International Relations, Internationalism, and Transnationalism and Cine Cubano, among other publications. She also contributed to the Ibero-American Dictionary of Film.
