María Elena Cepeda is Professor of Latina/o Studies at Williams College. She is the author of Music ImagiNation: U.S.-Colombian Identity and the Latin Music Boom (NYU Press, 2010), co-editor with Dolores Inés Casillas of the Routledge Companion to Latina/o Media (Routledge, 2017) and co-editor with Lina Rincón, Johana Londoño, and Jennifer Harford Vargas of Reimagining U.S. Colombianidades: Transnational Subjectivities, Cultural Expressions, and Political Contestations (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023). She is currently at work on a book Failed Colombiana: Media, Memory, and Latina Madness.
